On Tuesday 29 November 2011 HRH The Duke of Gloucester visited CYZ to have a tour of our facilities. Also joining him was the legendary CFM DJ 'Robbie D' who showed the Duke and the young visitors how to use our new radio equipment.

CYZ was a chosen charity for the 2011 great Cumbrian Run. A team of staff form CYZ took part in the run. We would like to say a massive Thank You to everyone who took part in the run to raise funds for Carlisle Youth Zone.

To kick off the Radio 1 Big Weekend being in Carlisle on Saturday 7 May Vernon Kay broadcast live from Carlisle Youth Zone - he lead 200 volunteers out into the community to take part in 7 community projects.
