Benfield Volkswagen gets CYZ Outreach ready to go

Benfield Volkswagen, based at Rosehill Industrial Estate in Carlisle, has made a commitment to help young people in rural areas access youth provision by donating a stylish 7-seater Volkswagen Touran to Carlisle Youth Zone.

The vehicle has been donated by Paul Keighley and his team at Benfield to the Carlisle Youth Zone Rural Outreach programme. Carlisle Youth Zone’s mission is to provide all young people from Carlisle and North Cumbria with somewhere to go, someone to talk to, something to do, and somewhere to be proud of.

CYZ’s Rural Outreach Programme works with young people outside the confines of the Youth Zone building, reaching out to them on their own territory. It is delivered in the heart of communities, wherever young people choose to congregate, be that estates or streets, shopping areas, parks, or rural villages. Working with local community members, CYZ will encourage and support young people to access positive, constructive and developmental activities. The Benfield Volkswagen will enable the Rural Outreach Manager Julia Mullarkey and trained CYZ volunteers to go out into rural areas and deliver activities which take place at CYZ.
