Carlisle Youth Zone may be based close to Carlisle City Centre, but that doesn’t mean we’re just open to Carlisle people. We know there are many villages and towns around Carlisle and we want you to experience what we have to offer too!
Whether it by public transport, cycling, walking, taxi, car, taxi or bus, we want you to arrive and get home safely - to make sure this happens we’ve partnered up with several companies and have even got you some discount passes for public transport. CYZ comes to you!
At CYZ we are looking to come and meet you where you ‘hang out’ to have a chat to try and find out what activities you would like us to offer you. We’ll be back in Spring 2012 with our outreach activities – in the meantime look out for the CYZ car, minibus and of course, the big purple Stagecoach bus!
If you live in a rural area without a youth club that you can go to, what do you think CYZ could do on ‘your patch’? Could you help CYZ organise some youth work which is something to do where you live on a regular basis so you too can access some great fun things to do?
Discounts just for you
Disounts will be available to any young person who has a CYZ membership on any stagecoach bus route zone 1 and more rural zone 2. This will only be available on the nights your club is open – and you will need to pick up a special voucher from CYZ reception when you leave to get the cheap rate on your way home. CFM Cash for Kids Minibus
We also have a 16 seater CFM Cash for Kids sponsored minibus which we can use whenever we need it. So if you and some of your mates have no access to a bus or train, please let us know and we will try our best to arrange to pick you up and drop you off at a central location. We cannot offer a taxi service to your door on a permanent basis, but maybe for a few weeks to see if we can help you get sorted with more permanent solution so you can attend CYZ on a regular basis.
