Meet the Board Member

Description:

Brian joined the family company, Swinton Insurance, after leaving university and gaining qualifications in Economics & Social Studies and becoming a Chartered Accountant. At Swinton he rose through the ranks to become Chief Executive, before selling the company in 1991.

In 1994 he created a commercial property development portfolio specialising in acquiring large empty industrial sites and redeveloping them, and since acquired Kingmoor Park.  In 2002 he created the Kingmoor Park Charitable Trust, the purpose of which is to support good causes in Cumbria and Research into childhood bone cancer. To date the Trust has gifted £1m and has committed a further £2.6m

Brian is a Trustee of Carlisle Youth Zone and believes it will provide an excellent facility for the young people of Carlisle for years to come
