Digital Youth Work

Lets Get Digital!

Come along and join our brand new weekly online Youth Club sessions, held on Zoom. Whether you’re dropping in for a quick chat, joining a quiz or gaming club – there’s something for all. Once we’ve checked who you are, there’s no pressure to keep your camera on for most of the session – so the level of engagement is completely up to you.

Open to any Young Person age 11+, Every Tuesday Evening, 7 – 8:30pm, beginning on 20th January 2026 – with more sessions to come soon…

The youth club has boosted my confidence so much. Staff have always been there when I needed to talk. One of the quieter sessions helped me build the confidence to join the busier one.

There were also emotional challenges – like when I lost a family member. That was a really tough time. I found it hard to express how I was feeling, but staff were always there for me. Sometimes it was easier talking to them than my family.

I originally got in touch with the Youth Zone as I wanted to give something back but also do something for me again after having two children and moving to a remote working job.

The application and training process was straightforward, and I felt fully supported along the way. As a volunteer at CYZ I really feel part of the team and am treated in the same way as the paid members of staff. Volunteering has given me back the self-confidence that I lost during the pandemic – I’m now part of a local samba drumming band and I couldn’t have imagined doing that 2 years ago!

What is Digital Youth Work?

Digital Youth Work is just like Youth Work, but online! We appreciate it may be hard to get to a Youth Club sometimes for a variety of reasons (such as transport, medical reason, financial reasons). So Digital Youth Work brings Youth Workers to you! In the online sessions will be having quizzes, games, chats, workshops – the list is endless!

You don’t need any specialist equipment to join – sessions are hosted on Zoom, an internet based video call system. You just need a device (such as a mobile phone, tablet or laptop) which has internet access, a camera, a microphone and speakers.

Anyone between the ages of 11-16 can attend the online sessions – initially, these will be running on a Tuesday evening, but we’ve got more plans for the new year, so watch this space!

How can I attend?

If you don’t yet have a CYZ membership, sign up using our online membership form – make sure to complete as much information as possible.

To register your interest in our digital sessions, please press the button below and our reception team will help to arrange a quick introduction call between you and our youth work team. Once completed, you’ll be sent a link for the weekly session.

Before entering the sessions, each attendee will be individually verified to ensure it is only members accessing the online space.

Digital sessions are free to join – there is a £5 membership fee for CYZ, however you can get a free membership to attend digital youth work by clicking the button below!

Digital Youth Work Lead

Hi there! I’m Harvey, and I am the Digital Youth Work Lead at CYZ. The aspects of the digital sessions I am most excited for are: playing Among Us, making our own quizzes and the workshops we will be doing 😊.

In my spare time, I enjoy playing a range of sports, including rugby, badminton, and tennis, alongside other hobbies such as cooking and gaming 🎮

Youth Worker

Hi my name is Olivia, I am a digital youth worker here at CYZ. During a digital session with myself, you may expect quizzes, games, and fun and general chitchat about life. All in the comfort of your own home. I’m really looking forward to getting online with you all!

In my own time, I really enjoy walking in the lakes, going to the gym, cooking, and baking. I’ve worked at the Youth Zone eight years and am really looking forward to getting to know the digital side of youth work.
