Carlisle has lots to be proud of including this group of amazing young people who have taken part in the National Theatres Youth Festival; Connections 2026, representing Carlisle and the talented young people who live here. 

From November 2025, the group have met every Friday in our Senior Youth Club to develop their skills, learn a new play and prepare for their two standout performances; one at CYZ in March 2026 and one at Theatre by the Lake in April 2026. The group have written a blog about their journey to perform Britney’s Lock by Alexandra Wood.
