Being shortlisted alongside a number of inspiring charities had already been a proud moment for the team, making the win even more special. The award was collected by Senior Youth Workers Lucy and Georgia, who said: “We feel extremely proud that the whole team has been recognised in this way for all of their hard work.”

The celebration continued back at the Youth Zone, where young members were among the first to hear the news. One young person shared: “The Award is a really good job, and the youth zone deserved it because it’s a really good place where people can gather together and make friends. The staff are also really nice”. 

As CYZ celebrates its 15th anniversary this year, the award recognises the support of volunteers, supporters, young leaders, funders, trustees, fundraisers, staff members, ambassadors, and the whole community.
