Inclusion residentials

The first inclusion residential at YMCA National Centre, Lakeside is well underway! So far  this week (beginning 19 August 2019) we have conquered a very muddy obstacle course, shot some arrows in archery and got very wet canoeing! This afternoon we are trying some climbing and abseiling and finishing with a campfire after tea! We didn’t stay up too late last night…..much to Nathan and Olivia’s relief!!

So a rainy morning saw us den building and whittling coasters as well as swinging through the trees on king swing! We have all had an awesome few days and will sleep very well tonight! 😴😂

And just like that the second Inclusion residential is well underway! Yesterday we said goodbye to the first group and got stuck in with some bushcraft skills and crate stacking! Today we have zip wire and abseiling and then and afternoon of kayaking, I wonder who will stay dry…?🧐😂

The final inclusion residential had a campfire and many games of hide and seek in the forest last night. This morning we finished with some very damp archery and a big king swing! All the young people on both residentials have been absolutely fantastic in their team spirit, encouragement and willingness to try something outside of their comfort zones! You should all be very proud of yourselves as Nathan, Olivia and Diana sure are and have loved every single minute of seeing you all grow as awesome young people of CYZ! ⭐️😃👍 (now who said bedtime?!?😴)
