WHAT PEOPLE SAY ABOUT CYZ
Youth Worker
Contract: Part Time
Location: Carlisle Youth Zone
Salary: £12.60 per hour (April 2026 pay award review in progress)
Hours: Variable hours per week, from bank contract to 8hrs (2 evening sessions) per week
We are working with more Young People than ever before, through both our universal and targeted youth provision which runs on evenings and a Saturday day time. Brand new for 2026 are our Digital Youth Work offer, as well as Outreach in Longtown to form a Longtown Youth Club. Due to this we are seeking Youth Workers to work across the range of interests that Young People attending CYZ have, which include, games, arts, crafts, sports, cooking, music. Are you able to work with Young People in large groups in these areas, then we want to hear from you!
We currently have vacancies on a Monday (5pm to 9pm), Tuesday (6pm to 9.30pm), and a Thursday (5pm to 9pm), but other evenings or weekend work will be considered for the right candidate.
