We are Carlisle’s Youth Zone after all! Carlisle Youth Zone has a unique and flexible array of spaces and rooms to hire. We can cater for meetings for anything from 2 people up to 200 people for a special event. Prices start from £15 and all hires include wifi access and some spaces are well suited to hybrid meetings. And the best part is that if you choose to hire space at CYZ all proceeds directly support our charitable work with young people!

Eden Room (up to 4 people)

A light and airy space just off our reception area, it is ideal for 1:1 meetings but can accommodate up to 4 people. Secure access/exit if needed. We provide free-to-use WiFi throughout our building. library (up to 10 people)

The Library is a beautiful, calming, more informal space suitable for 1:1 mentoring or small groups. Free to use WiFi is provided throughout the building. sensory suite (small groups eg families or carers)

Located on the ground floor of our fully accessible building, our amazing Sensory Room is soft space with a variety of coloured lights, fibre optics and an interactive floor. This large, open space has beanbags, a soft flooring area, and a Bluetooth speaker for sounds or music of your choice. We do have a portable hoist available to use, but you must provide your own slings and be comfortable and competent to using this equipment safely on your own. We have a 2 seater sofa available for parents / carers to use in the room. The Sensory Room is ideal for families and small groups. Free to use WiFi is available throughout the building. You can book a session in the Sensory Room during the day, Monday – Friday. The room hire cost is £15 per hour. red rec (small to mid sized groups)

In our Rec Area, located just off Reception, we have two pool tables, table football tables and games consoles. Small groups are able to hire this area for just £15 per hour. The rec area is available during the day Monday – Friday. Many people find it as a good area for informal rather than private chats. As this is in our open plan atrium, there is limited space for equipment or possessions you may bring, but coat hooks are available and there are seating areas and booth tables which you are free to use. Blue Rec (mid to larger groups)

Our ‘blue rec’ area as we like to call it is a large, open space in our main atrium, with a privacy curtain that can be pulled around. Natural light is plentiful thanks to the large walls of windows, and overhead lighting. It is located on our ground floor in the main atrium, with nearby toilet facilities. The floor is of a slightly softer material than the rest of our rec area, which makes it ideal for sports or training, such as first aid, where there may be a need to spend time on the floor. Tables and chairs can be set out for conferences, training, or large meetings, but there is also plenty of space meaning that sports equipment (badminton nets, indoor football or parachutes etc) can be set out. From networking events and training sessions, to company team gatherings, and light sport use, this space has endless possibilities for use. Free to use WiFi is available throughout our building. This space is available to book during the day, Monday – Friday at a rate of £15 per hour. dance & drama room (20 seated or 10/12 practical session)

This large room conveniently has two doors – one directly off the Reception Area, and one from the Main Rec Area, ensuring easy access. The Dance & Drama Room is suitable for mid-sized meetings, presentations, open days and training courses – as well as Dance / Drama practice. It has a large mirror and soft floor, but can be set up with tables and chairs if required. A sliding door which can be opened to our yard ensures fresh air and light is plentiful. The Dance & Drama Room is available at a rate of £15 per hour, and is available to book through the day, Monday – Friday. Free to use WiFi is provided throughout our building. the gym (up to 15 people)

Our large, fully equipped and air-conditioned Gym is available for hire during the daytime at just £15 per hour. This is a favourite among schools and other youth organisations, but could also be used by companies looking for a bit of a different setting for a staff team-building or training day. We have several treadmills, bikes, and cross trainers, an array of weight machines, free weights and rowing machines. TVs are installed to provide background music or something to watch, and with headphones, some of the cardio machines are able to give the user a personal TV. Free-to-use WiFi is provided throughout the building. There must be a suitably qualified person overseeing your group for their time in the gym. boardroom (up to 14 people)

The Boardroom comfortably holds up to 14 people and is fully air-conditioned. This is a well-lit and comfortable working space for any training or meeting purposes. Alternatively, the board room could be used as a breakout room if used with other facilities. Within The Boardroom, we have a projector and screen for you to use, as well as a television. A flipchart/whiteboard can be made available on request. Tea and Coffee making facilities can also be provided for a small additional cost. Free-to-use WiFi is available throughout the building. The Boardroom is available at a rate of £15 per hour, and can be hired throughout the day, Monday – Friday. hadfield suite (up to 12 people)

A lovely, fresh, well-lit space for meetings, training or conferences. Just inside the door is an informal seating area, with a sofa, chairs and coffee table. Continuing into the room, you will find a more formal seating area with desks & chairs. A Kitchenette with tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge is also present, which you are free to use if you would like to bring any essentials. Toilet facilities are conveniently located just outside of the Hadfield Suite. This room is available to hire for just £15 per hour, and is available during the day, Monday – Friday.
