Youth Engagement Volunteer

Contract:

Location: Carlisle Youth Zone

Hours: 3-4 hours per week suggested (equal to one youth club session) – but there is flexibility in this.

As a Youth Engagement Volunteer, you will be ‘on the ground’ in our fun and busy youth club sessions. Whether this be supporting in activities, leading activities, or just having conversations with the members. This role is completely flexible and can be directed by you and your passions. If you have a specific skill you want to share (think sports, arts, gaming, and beyond…), or just want to get involved and have fun across all activities – then this might be the perfect role for you!

Volunteer Mentor

Contract:

Location: Carlisle Youth Zone

Hours: 1 hour p/w

As a Volunteer Mentor, you will be working with young people on a 1-1 or small group basis. This work can span up to 6 months, or beyond if necessary and appropriate, and you will be helping to build confidence, resilience, social skills, and overall wellbeing. You will be a trusted adult, and a positive role model. Some mentoring sessions you might find yourself playing pool, practicing cooking skills, or just having a good chat. Mentoring is an informal and impactful way to give young people an extra listening ear through tough times.
