Julie is Receptionist/
You probably met Julie more than once but what her work looks like every day?
We asked Julie about her job in CYZ
I have worked at CYZ since 2014. I began working on reception in the evenings and then changed working daytime reception and administration. I have always been blown away by the facilities on offer, the positivity and enthusiasm shared by both the team and the young people and the support and opportunities on offer.
I had worked in a nursery and a school previously, and, once I visited CYZ with my son I just wanted to work here.
I am the face of CYZ during the daytime, greeting visitors, schools, groups and young people from all parts of the community. I look after all the room bookings in the building, setting up the space for groups and making sure everyone receives the best experience. I also deal with all enquiries, holiday club bookings and memberships – no questions or requests are too random!!!!! Behind the scenes I process volunteer paperwork and DBS applications, invoice room hires, update the website, set up sessions on our system, process holiday cards, banking and any other support administration required for events, sessions or trips. I love that every day is different and I like meeting people from all over the community. The best feeling is seeing a YP grow in confidence and achieve their dreams, whether that is as simple as learning something new or finding their dream job.
What are Julie’s hobbies?
My hobbies are watching football, I watch my son’s team play and I support Everton FC. I also like motorcycle racing and touring cars and have been to a few tracks in UK and Europe. I also like travelling and visiting places, there is a lot of the planet to see!!!!!
Julie fulfill your dreams and keep work!
