We know Halloween may be a little odd this year – which is why we have created our Halloween Spooktacular event which we would like as many young people as possible to have access to – so we’ve decided to have this a FREE event which anyone between the ages of 6 and 16 can attend.
Come and trick or treat on the ‘6 Doors of CYZ’ if you dare….
You will then have to sneak past the chained zombies to get to the ‘Hall of Doom’ for some spooky games and fun. There’s one final surprise at the end which you will find on the day!
Behind every door will be a different experience – it may be a vampire who wants you to taste his blood (parents – fear not – this will be red slush puppy!). Another door might have a nutty professor with a experiment to show you. Every experience will provide you with sweets for your goody bag.
With prizes for the best fancy dress, photo booth images and sweets galore it promises to be an amazing free community event!
The hour long experience is for a maximum of 10 young people per group and must be pre-booked.
Booking Info:
- Attendance must be pre-booked so we have the information required for each young person attending.
- Bookings are not confirmed until you receive a email confirmation from CYZ – there may be a delay between submitting the booking form, and receiving the confirmation.
- Even if you are a CYZ member – you must still complete the booking form.
- Please ensure all details are accurate before submitting the booking form.
- There will be a maximum of 10 young people per group – groups will be assigned on a first come first served basis.
- Due to numbers parents/guardians cannot accompany young people around the event.
- You may only attend one event in the day.
- Fancy dress is welcome!

The event will follow CYZ COVID restrictions which include:
- A maximum on 10 young people per group
- Pre booked attendance only
- All young people and staff will be temperature checked on arrival
- All young people and staff will have their hands sanitised on entry
- The trick or treat route will be non contact
- All staff will sanitise their hands regularly, and before every group enters
- Equipment used for games will be cleaned between groups
- Thorough risk assessments completed
- Social distancing will be encouraged – however we do appreciate this is difficult for young people

The junior version is aimed at young people between the ages of 6 and 12 years old. There may be a few shocks around the building – but we are not aiming to scare the young people.
Young people will be taken around the 6 Doors of CYZ by a Youth Worker, they can then have some free time to enjoy the activities in the Sports Hall.
Please note that due to number restrictions parents are unable to wait within CYZ.
Junior Times available are:

Each session runs for 1 hour from the start time
The senior version is aimed at young people between the ages of 12 and 16 years old. This version of the event will be scarier than the earlier version and will include flashing lights and shocks.
Time slots available for the Senior event are:
